The Gadget Launches That Should Be On Your Radar | CoolJapan

With higher quality tech hitting the market in recent years, people are buying gadgets less often. It used to be that phones have an average lifespan of two years, but now that that's becoming longer, most consumers are holding on to their current model. While that's mostly good news for our pockets, the irony is that most of the latest gadgets for sale right now carry a hefty price tag. And that means we as consumers should be more discerning than ever when buying new tech. Ahead, we list the gadget launches that you can consider once you need an upgrade.

Huawei Mate 30 Series

Just yesterday, Huawei unveiled its latest premium offering: the Huawei Mate 30 Series. It's the world’s first second-generation 5G smartphone boasting a Kirin 990 5G SoC chipset for fast processing; a powerful battery life that's up to 4200 mAh; a new camera system with different lenses like telephoto and 3D Depth Sensing and vegan leather design options.

Apple iPhone 11 Pro

Although it's yet to be released in stores, iPhone 11 Pro has been making some buzz already. The first reason for it being the talk of the town is not very flattering. Apparently, its new camera design has triggered trypophobia in some people. But apart from that, tech enthusiasts are particularly excited about its triple camera that can shoot at very wide angles and the cinematic video capturing feature (at 60 fps). Pre-orders for this new model are already available in some countries and shipping begins by late September.

Fitbit x Kim Shui

The Versa family gets a facelift! Launched at New York Fashion Week, this feminine and sleek new look designed by up-and-coming designer Kim Shui is a great option for those who are not a fan of the original's sporty look. The collection includes the newly released premium, voice-enabled Versa 2, which, aside from monitoring your exercise regimen and having an Amazon Alexa integration into its system, can also record your sleep data so you can be aware of your sleeping habits and adjust them accordingly.

Canon INSPiC
